Create Category and Transaction Type rules based on Multiple Conditions

In cases where transactions have the same name (ex., ONLINE BANK TRANSFER), to be able to set up a category or transaction type rule, being able to set the associated account as one of the rule requirements is necessary. In cases where transactions have the same name (ex., Amazon) but there are certain payments that can be auto-categorized, allow rule to be based off of vendor name and transaction amount.

Create a Rule - Logic (over, under, matching, range)

It would be nice to set rules based on whether the spend is greater than, less than, or equal to a certain amount. For example, I use the same card for everything, and I know if I am at the gym and a charge comes in under $10 it’s likely something I would like to categorize differently (food/drink) than if it were over $20 but under $100 (clothing), and if it matches $95 exactly it’s my membership (gym). So having logic for categorizing certain transactions that are over, under, matching, or within a range of a dollar value would be useful.

Rule based on name and $ threshold

Be able to add a rule that specifies if the name criteria and the value is below or above a certain $ threshold, then it gets added to a category. For example, we buy only coffee from Whole Foods sometimes and other times full grocery runs. Currently not automated way to distinguish.

Rules based on account and amount

Right now, rules can only use the name and category as criteria (’ amount’ is only available for recurring). Please enable setting rules based on which account is used in the transaction, and the transaction size range.

Categorize by Name and Amount, not just by Name

I pay a housekeeper through Venmo for $X every week. I also pay my therapist through Venmo for $Y every two weeks. The amounts are the exact same for each different vendor every time I use them.
It would be nice to be able to create a rule that says “Venmo at $X” = Housekeeping and “Venmo at $Y” = Healthcare.
Great app, keep up the good work!

Hey Michael, thanks for sharing! You can set-up the Venmo integration which will allow you to see the names of the transactions and the recipient to based name rules off of.
Additionally, you can create Recurrings for these items which are determined by a combination of factors (name, date range, amount range). Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

In addition to name, include an option to categorize a transaction a certain way if its amount fulls within a specified range.
