When making a regular transaction, I would like to split the transaction by period of time (month).

This would reduce the redundancy of creating the individual split transactions and then having to find them manually and move them to the next month.

Additionally, I would like to have the ability to filter out these future payments from the transactions section.

Use case: a large transaction that is being split up over a planned schedule l

I Pay car insurance 6 months at a time. It would be nice to have 1/6 of that in my budget each month

Hi, I would love it if I could “split” a transaction by months. I bought plane tickets for $1600. Using rollover for the travel, it would look like I have a -$1500 budgets for travel. Instead, if it was split over the next X months, it would just be a $0 budget for a certain amount of months. It would really help me understand what my purchasing habits should look like for the future months to “make up” for the large purchase this month. Alternatively, increasing the budget for one month doesn’t influence my future decisions. And having a budget with $-1500 doesn’t help me because I don’t expect to make up for the purchase in one month.

Home insurance and car insurance you can pay all up front for a year or 6 months. It would be nice to customize the number of months a transaction is spread across so you budget monthly accordingly

Example, car insurance $600 for 6 months

Have a way that $100 per month can be displayed as an expense because you are accruing $100 worth of value from your prepaid item

TL;DR Pain point for me is really that I find large recurring annual payments sneak up on me but I think copilot is the perfect way to mitigate that. I love that I have a view of all my recurring expenses. For monthly subscriptions, it’s easy for me to plan for them by including them in the budget and then seeing how they’re expected to impact their respective categories. But for annual subscriptions, I always find these sneak up on me. It would be great to have a way of spreading these large annual payments across the budget category in the months leading up to the renewal to make sure they don’t impact my budget too much, as well as warning of the upcoming renewal as the merchant doesn’t always do this - or even if they do it seems like spam so I miss it.

I.e if I have a $600 dollar charge for 6 months of prepaid service, I can easily set it so that on the first of each month a $100 dollar charge is allocated to that month’s budget.

Please take the title into consideration. Especially for non-monthly recurring transactions. Otherwise, what’s the point of knowing you have an upcoming recurring payment if it isn’t taken into account ahead of time?

For example… I have a car insurance payment every 6 months of $420. That should have the option to be factored into my monthly budget as $70.

I would love if there were an “allocate” feature that allowed me to split, e.g., an annual expense over twelve months to more accurately reflect the portion of the budget it uses up, rather than having something that looks like it’s way over budget one month out of the year.
