We currently have rules to assign expenses to different budget categories, recurring expenses, etc. I would like those rules to include automatic renaming of expenses. Example: Apple Store purchases come through as “Other Apple”, and I would like the current rule to 1) Change the label to “Apple Store” then, 2) process the rule to align it with the appropriate budget.

For example, PayPal transactions are alway “Payment to someone”, this is unreadable in the list. Would be nice if these stuff are automatically removed when transaction names are reformatted.

You should be able to use Exact and Partial text match for transaction renames. For examples, original transaction is: 'McSorley's blah blah'. Using partial match on 'McSorley' one can now rename all transactions that match to user choice like: 'McSorley's Ale House' or 'Watering Hole' — Whatever the user sees fit.

I'd like the ability to change the name of a transaction and have that applied to all future and prior transactions with the same name.

For example, I would update "Square Almondine Bakery" to "Almondine Bakery" or "Jpmorgan Chase" to "JPMorgan Chase."

It's partly just to keep things nice and tidy and partly to improve the readability as I scan the list.

As an example, I subscribe to the New York Times, but I would like to update all the transactions to be named NYT.

It would make the transaction views cleaner if you could have rules to auto-rename transactions when they are auto-categorized. So for example, if I’ve told Copilot to autocategorize charges from city parking meters that start with “NYCDOTMeter” to a category like, Transportation, it would be nice to also have it always rename those to something more intelligible that I define like “Parking Meter”.
